Petries first intentional flight =D

Today I cleaned out petries cage then after I put her in I left the top door open and didn't take her out. I sat at my computer chair, talked to her and encouraged her then went about my business playing video games. Wasn't long until I hear the flutter of wings, look over and there she is in the air followed by a clean land on my shoulder.

I'm so proud of her.

She made a second attempt a little while later before I left and this one wasn't so smooth. She stayed on her cage for a long time thinking about it then suddenly flew past me, turned around and I put my arm out and she avoided it and dove to the floor.

She will learn =)

It's great she's learning how to fly!!! Practice makes perfect.
