I just heard Petco has recalled a number of stainless steel bowls bought
Spring - summer of this year.
Google Petco bowl recall and a number of reports come up regarding this.
The sku #s for these bowls are listed .
Im having problems attaching links , sorry , but I wanted to inform you all.

"One recent recall is by far, one of the most bizarre: Stainless steel pet food bowls made by a foreign manufacturer and shipped for sale here in the United States and may have been contaminated with radioactive material."

Isn't that just wonderful? When will we stop outsourcing everything including drugs and get back to producing in the USA?
I actually watched a video a few months back where they were cleaning chickens and throwing them on the floor in a pile while making drugs for us in the other side of the room. There is no telling what we are getting . Totally disgusting. Where is the oversight and quality control from the companies that outsource?

Awesome , ain't it ?

That's just great. My dad and I were talking and he said apparently nothing is safe anymore, especially when it's manufactured overseas. He said "Well, we'll just have to give the birds, sterling silver or gold, cages and dishes". He was joking of course. :) We're not that rich!

No telling what we will have to resort to nowadays to keep ourselves and our pets safe.
It just amazes me how it made it through customs !
I guess we really shouldn't be that surprised though. I think they (security) is much more lax then tight now and they are scrutinizing other things but looking past the obvious.
Just my opinion....

We inspect only about 1% of imports.

For years, I have been calling for 100% inspection of imports - paid by the importers. Medicines and food should be at the top of the list. Mississippi inspects all seafood imports, and rejects more than half. 90% of seafood is imported.
