I know people are always saying when their amazon is happy they have a unique smell. I absolutely love chocolate and sweets and to me Perry smells a lot like a chocolate bar. Not exactly but close. I had asked my friend Perry’s previous owner if he had ever smelled anything and he said no. I’m thinking because I had Timneh who smelled just like a bird. Not sour or anything but she smelled just like the pet store bird smell. So I think i notice it more when Perry smells so much different. Interesting for sure.

I love the smell of a happy Amazon... I can't describe what they smell like, but it's definitely distinctly different than Conure or African Grey.

Yes! Amazons smell sooooo good. I like to sniff around Kiwi when he’s in good moods. I find the scent quite comforting and somewhat (outright;)) addictive.

There is nothing more rewarding than the comforting smell of a Happy Amazon. You know when your Amazon is smiling upon you!
Scott is so correct, they each seem to have their own special scent and we each smell it a bit differently. Whatever it is, it is why I Love Amazons!

Buttered popcorn & talcum powder

musky tomato chowder with corn and sprinkled with nutritional yeast.

I'm finding it difficult to describe Amys' aroma  It certainly isn't a "bird" smell. Especially after a shower ( which he absolutely loves to take, which I imagine makes him "happy"?) I just love to bury my shnozz in his back and take in a couple big wiffs lol

Has anyone had the (unfortunate) chance to get a good sniff of their Amazon while really pissed? :D

Hmmm, seems to be a lot of Amazon Huffing going on around here! :D
I do not recall a specific scent when Julio is really rapped up in a steaming Hormonal Rage. Possible that I have slipped into survival mode and checking for an aroma is way down the importance list.
