Percy's Corner : playgym, cage & play-window. As you can see, Percy's area is taking up the entire corner of my lounge I've ordered an atom from a local shop which will be hung above his cage when it comes one day.
The window has two "draw bridges" from one side to the other, a few swings from the top and loads of toys. It also has a ladder that clips onto the top of his cage for easy access. Note that the windows are never open whilst he is out of his cage. Forgive the condition of my window frames - a failed attempt at "fashionable distressing"... Qualified maintenance guy coming soon.
His cage setup was also re-arranged a bit today because certain things were no longer getting any attention. You might be able to see the 'cage to window" bridge in the top left.
The playgym - all natural woods but due to Percy's damaged foot, he struggles to perch on branches that are too smooth. After a long beg & plead session, I convinced the AV to sell me (at ridiculous cost) some vet wrap which made the perches perfect for Percy.
Daytime window shot -
Nightime window shot (although obviously he won't be playing in the window at night ). Sorry for the wobbly pic!
And lastly, at Percy's recent check-up, the AV cautioned me to watch out for pressure points on his feet (apparently he will be prone to them due to the one foot being a bit scew) so I've made him an extra special sleeping perch, nice and extra thick and covered in soft fleece. He took to it instantly!
