I "liberated" a young fresh branch with leaves from the neighbour's guava tree this morning. I washed it and snipped off all buds and hung it on Percy's gym. Bow, seeing him rip into the leaves, I'm wondering if I was right and they CAN eat the leaves? I know the fruit and branches are ok but leaves? Please advise before I poision him

From a site they were talking about the macropods can not ingest Guava leaves because of the fibre and it gets stuck in their intestinal track causing blockage and sent them into endo-toxic shock killing them. I wouldn't risk it cause it could very well apply to birds as well.....

 Yikes! I'm glad then that I removed it just after posting this question!

I checked and it doesn't look like he's eaten any. Only one leaf was nibbled and most of the leaf was lying on the floor so he just ripped it it seems. Yes, I CSI'd the situation and reconstructed the leaf from the pieces...:22:
