Perches and stands?

I literally cannot find a good perch/stand for my babies. I am wondering if anyone of you are crafty and would like to make me a stand or fun jungle gym for my two amazons for the Holidays. I would obviously pay for it, if it's affordable. I am a college student getting married next month.

My zons never showed any interest in those hut types of things. I bought a big one once. None of my big birds went anywhere near it. So, depends on the bird I guess.

The birdie coffee table is really nice, and I've actually improved the design since this was posted. Birdie coffee table 2.0 has four treat cups, and has two cargo nets, one on each end, a cross perch in the middle, and uses the same configuration (corner 3 way connects) as the base, with cross perches (i.e. flying monkey bars) to hang toys on, and for them to hang out on:

PVC is easy material to work with. Try the coffee table project!

All it takes is a drill, and a screwdriver if you don't want to put a PVC canopy on it. (or a screw attachment to your drill.) You've gotta know someone who has a power drill.

The tiles are peel and stick. (8 tiles at 88 cents ea.)

The craft board is pre-made. A 4 ft by 2 ft pine craft panel at Home Depot (18.00)

The legs are pre-made screw ins. (5.20 each) and four fittings (1.30 each), and some wood screws ($3.00 a box)

You get the grape wood online and the bases are already cut square. (Blooms & Branches.) http://www.bloomsandbranches.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1833 ($60.00-ish with shipping for six large sandblasted branches)

Just figure out where you want them, drill the holes, and screw them in place. You can make one of these in about an hour.

You end up with a coffee table sized playstand for around $115.00.

Seriously! No carpenter skills required! I've given you the step by step. Don't psych yourself out. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

I use a table saw.

Zip Zip Zip. Done. They're all uniform in length. Everything fits.

That's the key, making sure they're all the same size.

Measure twice. Cut once.

I use old floor lamps (or umbrella stands) that i find at yard sales. Remove the light fixture and screw a large branch back in place. The problem with building you something is the shipping cost. it usually cost as much or more to ship than it cost to build.
