well my wife just flipped out on me last night when i tried to give my bird some pepperoni. she didnt back up her complaint with any facts or anything just made it clear you cannot do it. ever. the look she gave me was a good enough reason for me .lol. seriously though she used to manage pet stores so SOME of her info is legit and some of it is your typical "petstore propaganda" as I like to call it.
Im sure I was absolutely no help at all there .lol but thats what I know.

I'm sure its not toxic to them in small doses, however it is VERY bad for them. The salt and grease and fat alone is much worse for them then it is us.
