So Pepper has always had trouble doing some things, especially flying. He frequently swerves when trying to land, crashes into me, and just flops. It's chaos. I've also noticed that he isn't very social, being alone most of the time, even when the others ask him to join their antics. I feel like he may have tics of some sort, as he frequently tries flying to me, but ends up swerving in a jerky motion (like he can't control it), missing a few beats, then flying again. He gets very unhappy when this happens, and usually ends up slamming into something or falling on the floor.

Do you guys think it could be anything else?

Maybe he has a neurological issue causing the "jerks".. I think it's a good idea to tell an avian vet about it :)

I would, but my parents don't think it's concerning...
It doesn't cause him pain, just annoyance.

Sky my bird a few months ago just had BIG trouble in landing she would land on the most unexpected places like a sticker clothes and a door hanger

It can be a vision problem, or even blindness in one eye. This can be from past crashing i to something . You don't have to see any visual damage to eye or sign in the eyes. Vision can be lost to brain trauma, nutritional, and many other reasons.

Or this is not a vision issue at all. But I think knis a possibility

I do too. WHen h was grabbed at the pet shop (by a 16yr old), the boy almost broke his wing. He also may have caused trauma. Unlikley that it caused vision loss, but that probably has some part in his issue.

Ok, it seems his 'signals' from his nervous system are not getting into his brain quickly enough. I put my finger by his eye and wiggled it a bit, and it took him almost 5 seconds to respond.

Or, maybe he’s just not scared of your finger.
Yeah, I knew someone would say that lol. That was just a 'quick test' I did. If you were actually interacting with him, you could tell that something was wrong, but I didn't really want to type out all those other times (I don't really like typing).

Ok. Well, he’s your bird. You can tell that something is wrong. The problem is that there could be any number of things going on with him. I can imagine a basic neurological exam for a parrot, but since he can’t follow instructions or talk to you, it wouldn’t be much.

Are your other birds better? You had them at the vet a week ago.

They're getting better for sure! The vet prescribed new meds that seem to be working better.
