Pellets

Well after a month of including pellets in with Bobby's mix he's not touched them.

So, I came across a thread which said to try 'wetting' them.

He now has his head stuck in the bowl and he's devouring the pellets.




So, I'm going to keep doing this for a bit, and then treat him with his seed mix just a few times a week.

Happy for him.

I have to ask, my ringneck is on seeds and pellets, he eats form them both himself don't have to make him eat the pellets, but he wants his seeds.

I also give a lot of fresh fruit like apple , orange, paw paw and what ever fruit in the house, and cooked veg now I was told cook veg is not good should rather give it raw but I have always given cooked now don't think Peanut will eat raw veg... any help?

If he's always had cooked, just try cooking them less and less each time. Or putting in some uncooked ones with them.

Should work to wean him off in the end. (Just some things should be cooked like potato, check out the lists for more info)

There's a theory that feeding a diet so dry as pellets may lead to kidney failure, therefore wet/moist pellets are healthier.

084bar, have you tried hanging up fresh as toys? Or making it into a chop mix??? Fresh is better than cooked, but it's not bad if he eats some cooked foods!
