My Amazon, Chiba, has been eating Pretty Bird pellets her whole life.
I am currently trying to switch her to TOPS, which is what I feed my Cockatiel.

Anyway, here is my question:
Is Zupreem healthier than Pretty Bird? Or are they pretty much the same?

Any pellets is better then seeds alone for most parrots! Whatever they're willing to eat is what I would stride to feed. I personally have been feeding Zupreem for many many years. I was first introduced to Zupreem back in 1997 and I've been using it ever since.

I've been using Zupreem too, only because it stated they were used in zoos...

But can't agree more than MikeyTN stated!!

If she eats it, that's what I'd keep feeding her if you want to keep her on a pelleted diet. She looks pretty healthy, and IMO, those pellets are all pretty similar. More importantly, be sure (if she isn't already) that she gets introduced to fresh fruits and vegetables every day:)

I use Zupreem my tiel eats it and she is very picky. I have never heard of Pretty Bird pellets. It is nice to have all your birds on the same brand but you wont always be that lucky

Mine eat Zupreem and some Roudybush for the pellet portion of their diet. I have given them Harrison's but they prefer Zupreem over the others. If you are switching pellets I would recommend buying a small bag to try, even though the bigger bags are more cost effective. It's a waste of money if she doesn't like it.

If you have access to Harrison's pellets that would be great. The company might be able to send you a sample to see if Chiba likes it before spending the money.
I've used it for many years (but have tried other brands) and from bloodwork results and outward appearance of the birds, I say that Harrison's organic pellets are a cut above the rest of the 'pellets' out there and are nutritionally superior.

I have to agree with MikeyTN on this! If only our birds realized that lol I've been feeding my Conure a mix of various pellets to find one she really enjoys. Roudybush worked well for a while, but eventually she began playing with the pellets more than she ate them. Zupreem is next on my list to try for her.

I think I'll try Harrison's. Do you think an Amazon would do okay with "Small" parrot pellets (fine/super fine)? I'd really like for both of them to eat the same food. I know my Cockatiel will eat it, because I got a small sample of Harrison's pellets at the last Hookbill Fair.

I have tried so many other pellets, organic and not but had to go back to zupreem.
They will eat the others in the beginning, for a week orso then they realise it is not a snack and begin rebbeling for their zupreem.
In the end the pellet your bird eats is the best pellet for them.
