I've been looking at the different brands of pellets and their ingredients, and I'm not sure how to react. Even the popular brands like Harrison's and Roudybush have the main ingredients of corn and sunflower seeds with better ingredients in much lesser concentrations, so my question is are these premium pellet brands actually any better? What is your knowledge on this topic?

This is a jungle and almost impossible to discuss but vets are recomend pellet and in sweden harrison seem to be most of the vets choice. Regarding ingredient and manufactoring method some of it is a company secret and therefore dificult to get all information

I feel like the ingredients are very similar between the cheaper natural brands and the more expensive natural brands, but if some of the expensive are more palatable then I could understand. Currently, I'm not understand the difference. Perhaps people who use these brands could comment as to what drew them? I don't mean this as a judgmental thread or anything - just trying to get some answers and am genuinely curious :22:

The method of manufactoring is almost as important as ingredient. You can "kill "ingredient if doing the wrong way. then manufactures are adding chemicals for colour, smell, taste and storege, what i am saying is that you must see the whole picture

I think I understand what you are saying. For example, two companies might use the same ingredients but the preparation for one might cause nutrient depletion etc ?

After talking with the owner of the bird store near me, I bought Hagen Tropican Extruded Pellets. The owner said many of his supply breeders were all over the extruded pellets. I suppose I could debate myself into oblivion :p, but this is where I will start. I had good success sneaking some into his mouth by soaking them and mixing them with his veggies.
