Peach fronted conure all of a sudden aggressive

Hey guys over the last two days my peach fronted conure has been very aggressive to me. Biting me to bits. It doesn't mind if I come at her with one hand but if I try to use two hands she bites me and draws blood. Not like her at all. I have given her a few baths by holding her under a very slow tap. I don't know if I have scared her. But it's not like her at all. Any ideas ??

Why are you holding her under running water? Sounds more like being terrified of your hands! For now, forgo using your hands with her for anything. Use a stick to have her step up. My JoJo was panicked by hands for the first month or so, she had spent 6 months being groped by everyone who walked by her open pen! Store personnel never said anything to anyone!

Does she bite every time you reach for her, or only in certain rooms or at certain times of the day?

We think she is about 15-16 we think I done that with the water roughly a week ago. No she doesn't bite me when I lift her out or play with her or have her step up. She loves me petting her and always runs her beak up and down my finger and does the head bobbing thing. She always flys to me to be on my shoulder or even sit on my glasses lol ;-D

I just kinda spend time with her and more and more she did things like step up

Did she start biting right away after? It really seems like you broke her trust by forcing her like that. Now you need to start over and gain it back. Every time you get frustrated with her, take a breath and remember that she is frightened because of something you did, she is not being bad, she is being scared.

Thanks - i feel so ****ty - i thought i was doing something tht would be good for her getting all her feathers done ( we assume it is a she) -

today she has been a bit better - sometimes will let me come at her with two hands then some times having a nifty wee bite - shes currently sitting on top of my head eating my hair gel i think.

She never stopped doing the kisses she makes and the rubbing her beak aagainst my finger -

I understand the urge to force a bird to do something that we think is good. Bathes are good and important for your bird. But in the future let's try to think of how it might frighten the bird and how we could go about it in a less frightening way.

she gets a little push off - but keeps on trying to get back on ! lol . shes not got a chance

Thanks guys - i hope she will start to trust my hands again . One hand at a time is ok - and i think the reason behind this is that i used two hands to lift her when bathing her !
