Since we got Basil he hasnt dared speak while we are in the room..
We hear him if we are upstairs and Ive filmed him secretly a few times and so we know he has quite a vocabulary but he just couldnt bring himself to speak while we were there (past trauma)..
Yesterday he just couldnt contain himself and he started singing and chatting he carried on most of the evening..
He has also started to accept fruit from us if we offer it, up to now he would just lunge and snap..
Slowly we are building trust and I just wanted to share because anyone who wonders if things will ever come good..the answer is yes with patience and time it will.
