Has anyone heard of Diamond Parrot Farms in Georgia? I can't find anything online regarding reviews. Supposedly they have bronze wing pionus available. When I first emailed, I was told they are 10 week old hand fed babies. Sent pictures. Shipping would be to my door.
Then I get an email with the invoice. States birds are 19 months old. Says payment must be via money gram or western union and I have to send them a picture that I sent the funds before they send me confirmation and shipping/tracking info. *RED FLAGS* 1. I do NOT send cash funds EVER. Closest would be through paypal. No response when I say something about that. 2. how do 10 week olds turn into 19 month olds? 3. There are some pet delivery services, but why would I need to have the flight information if they are being delivered to my door, wouldn't be another way??

Sounds fishy. RUN!

If you are looking for a Pionus in GA contact Carmen and Brightwood Aviary. I don't think she has Pionus anymore but she will likely know who does.

Scam!! Run, don't walk away from this person. I have never ever heard of birds being able to ship right to your house, and getting flight confirmation should not matter. SCAM! And 10 weeks to 19 months? Nope...scam!! I am not familiar with the species you're looking for, but I would check out birdbreeders.com for breeders who breed specific species, I am always on that website.

We have a bronze wing pionus baby girl and I'd love to get a male. We lost our 21 year old BW suddenly a few months ago and he was my snuggle bird :( (ok, honestly, I'd love to get several BW and raise them to potentially breed in a number of years... just not sure my hubby would agree). I'm always looking to find current breeders anywhere in the US for these guys. All current listings of breeders of BW no longer breed them. They are my absolute favorites.

Have you tried Feather Focus in Brookings, SD?

There are also at least 2 breeders of Pionus in Hawaii.

When I was looking for a grey after Smokey passed away...I looked on Craigslist..there was a "baby" in my town!...then the same "baby" across the state..and in different states! When I text the jerk,he was in California and "garrantee'd" the grey would be "delivered to my door" THAT NIGHT!

From California to CT in a few hours..for a nominal fee of $350....uh-huh  SCAM! sounds just like what you are dealing with..RUN the other way!
