A while back a friend of mine watched a movie with a parrot in it.
Knowing I am nuts about birds he recommended it.

It is called “Tuesday”

The bird is CGI but based on a Macaw.
I am wondering what others that may have seen this movie think about how well the
Movement and mannerisms were done.
Even the disheveled appearance resembles a bird that has been mistreated.

It’s an interesting movie but….. don’t want to spoil it.
But I don’t agree with the ending.

I saw it. Wasn't a fan of the ending either, but all in all, yes... Interesting is a good word.
The bird's movements and mannerisms I thought were pretty well done, considering it is CGI. Maybe I'll have to prepare myself and go watch it again. Gotta be in the right mood for it for sure.

Yah, it’s not exactly a Christmas movie.

There is a book called Emerganc by David Palmer (not sure of spelling). It’s a post apacaliptic story and one of the main characters is a hyacinth macaw. The author does a perfect job describing the behavior and mannerisms of a parrot.

Yes, yes, agreeing about TUESDAY...
Another popular movie... PAULIE. An adorable fantasy about a parrot's life, but... oh, so misleading. The doggone ending makes me cry silly tears of joy, but...
It just ain't real. I worry about the people who get a bird, expecting a Paulie, ya know?

I can't remember the name of the movie (might have been the Mandela Effect? or The Butterfly Effect?), but it had a Hyacinth Macaw in it as a side character :)

In the original movie “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea”
The cook has a double yellow headed Amazon on his shoulder. Can’t recall how often the bird was shown.

And it’s not a movie but the Twilight Zone episode
“4 O clock” the main character has a yellow nape .

I haven't heard about Tuesday. I'm not really into fantasy movies but maybe one day I'll watch it.

So far from all movies with a parrot I have enjoyed "Lost in Munich" the most but I'm aware that it's hard to watch European movies in US, so it might be near impossible for you guys to find it

I have never heard of “Tuesday,” so I read the plot summary. Sounds truly disturbing. Not the type of film I would choose to watch. The review went on to say macaws are harbingers of death in some cultures. Which ones? In Brazil, it is considered good luck if an arara (macaw) poops on you. 😜

On a lighter note, I recall 2 James Bond films with macaws—“The Living Daylights” and “For Your Eyes Only.” Laughably bad dubbing of a B&G macaw “speaking,” but you just have to roll with it for entertainment value. 😂

I seem to recall a B&G macaw in “Pirates of the Caribbean.” Can’t remember if it was in more than one fillm.

Not a movie, but a very memorable commercial that ran in the mid-1990s when I lived in Washington, DC. It was an ad for The Washington Post. Two parrots were talking to each other about the news they read in the newspaper lining the bottom of their cages. “Tech stocks look particularly interesting!” Was the opening line from one parrot and the tag line of the ad was “The Washington Post. When you get it, you get it.” 😂

I would have liked to see the commercial.
PSA airlines use to have a parrot as a mascot, the tag line as I recall was “the only way to fly”

Oops it was Wester Airlines.
