I came to a good web site on nutrition for our fids. Please click article that pertains to organic foods being affordable. I know there are those who do not buy organic for yourself or your bird. I am not starting a debate. Just giving you some food for thought. In this article there is a section on foods that should only be fed to birds if they are organic. I kinda do half organic and half not, although I just recently signed up with local farmers who have organzied a system where by they deliver organic produce to your door year round. I love it!!
This weeks delivery is spinach, rainbow chard and carrots, sprouts, sweet potatoes and green beans.

Yes i already have that link in my Fav's. I am sure others will find it just as interesting.

Spiritbird i am one of these people that doesn't buy organic foods. Simply because there isn't much around where i live & if there is how can i be sure it is organic plus the price is double. But i certianly wouldn't knock anyone that does. That is their choice.

I grow Alfalfa - lucerne in SA for my iguana and it is definitely one of the things that Sterretjie loves eating (playing with) everyday. It is sorry that it taste like grass thou because even us humans can really benefit from it.

It is really hard to maintain an organic garden and I am fighting diseases weekly. After 4 years of battling I've finally got my own mixture 'insecticide - disease controller' right. It kills almost every disease (except slugs) and is so safe that you can immediately pick anything and eat it as well.
