Parrots
Green Cheek Conure (Name: Climber, he climbs everything :3)
Blue Cinnamon Conure (he looks like a kiwi, so his name is Kiwi :3)
Painted Conure (Name: Rainbow! :3)
This time I have to admit that my GCC got hurt because of me. While it wasn't intentional, I'm not sure how my parrot is.
I accidentally hit the bottom of him, somewhere around his crop area. It happened just about 10 minutes ago. But he seems to be perfectly fine.
After the accidental punch, I've been constantly observing him and he seems to be doing his normal stuff (running around, exploring, eating at his cage), all perfectly fine. He just seems to be a bit more aggressive towards me. Guess it harmed my trust with him.
I would think that he's perfectly fine from that punch because it wasn't very hard (somewhere around a very light punch) because my original intention was just to block him from going somewhere, not hit him. So the impact on him wasn't that large. But it's because it hit his crop area that's making me pretty scared for him.

Is he going to be fine or should I take some action?

It is Never a good idea to attempt to strike a Parrot for any reason, None! By design, they are extremely light and a strike whether by accident or targeted can easily cause serious damage: A broken neck or other like structural bone damage can occur resulting in death or serious injuries.

So, Stop attempting to control your Parrot by punching, swinging your arms, etc... You have been very lucky up to this point in not hurting anything more than your relationship with your Parrot. Parrots are well aware they are lightly built and swinging, punching could cause them serious pain at the very least.

Start over with developing a relationship with your Parrot and promise to never strike-out for whatever reason as the next time, you could cause its death.

It was really on accident, I won't do it again.
I don't think our relationship is very affected though. It still seems to play with me just fine. I would say I'm lucky.

Yes, very lucky indeed!
Accidents can happen, but keeping one's arms down will limit such accidents greatly...

Remember, only good things happen when Humans are around Parrots.

When I saw your thread heading my first thought was you were offering lawyer service for "parrots injured in accident"
