My understanding is that the Hot 3 (Napes, Double Yellow Heads, BF) are considered the best talkers, but are also the moodiest.
Maybe you would like a Yellow Crown? I've only had mine for 3 weeks, but from the research I've done it sounds like they are considered good talkers but much easier going.
So far in 3 weeks I've heard from him: singing opera (hilarious!), barking, meowing, funny cartoon noises, "yabba dabba do!", "hello", "hello, dear", "come here", "I love you", "Wuv you", "Wuv you wittle bear", "Hi" and a very loud, annoying alarm sound. He also went "glug, glug, glug" one day when watching me drink water. Undoubtedly in 28 years he has learned more than this and I just don't know yet. I think yesterday he may have said my name already, but I wasn't certain.
But, with any bird it can be hard to guess talking ability. My Blue Crown conure was the loudest, clearest talker I've ever had, but she never learned that many words and phrases. My Nanday conure is sometimes easy to understand and sometimes very difficult. But, she has surprised me with complete sentences, and often uses a ton of words I had no idea she knew. So even though she doesn't talk that often, sometimes in the right situation I get something completely shocking out of her.
