I have communicated with two breeders about Panama Amazons and I find they are in disagreement with the cage I am planning to use for the baby's home.

What I am planing on using is a Freedom Deltona Stainless Steel cage. This has a buffet feeding system which gives a lot more room inside the cage for living space. The cage is 36" width x 25" Depth x 65" Height. I would like to know from the more experienced Amazon owners who are formula with the Panama amazon personality and size if this cage is actually large enough for the Panama amazon. Like Valentino he would be spending 6 to 8 hours a day in it.

Here is a picture of the cage without the pan. It is very shiny and made a huge glare when I took the picture.

Rebecca, even though I don't have any Pans, I wonder why the breeders are in disagreement over this spectacular, roomy, fabulous cage??? I think it is PERFECT for your future baby.

Hopefully our Capt will chime in, he has extensive experience with Pans. :)

This is currently Julio the adopted Noble macaw's cage but I want to get him a cage with the grate higher up. He can't balance so well because he is plucked so I want to get him somewhat same size but higher up grate to help with his falls plus am thinking of getting playgym on top so I can get him to come out more.

The plan is to get Julio another cage and keep this for the Pan baby I will be getting next year. I cannot wait.
