I tried looking for the threads focusing on what kind of paints you can safely use near birds. I don't have the luxury of moving 6 cages into another part of our house, so was hoping that I could get some feedback on what paints I should go for. Latex I know is a 'no go'.

I am planning on putting up plastic sheeting between the bird room and the room I'm going to paint, along with some fans, open windows, etc..

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Ive used benjamin moore natura in a hallway before and the birds were fine. it was a ultra low odor, No VOC paint. theres also a brand called https://www.mythicpaint.com/index.aspx. I never used some but it says its bird safe. Paint at your own risk

Did you like the Benjamin Moore paint?

I guess you could use the tail feathers, but you'll probably get bit trying to do it though...

I stick with watercolors, ive also used acrylic (reeves and royal langnickel *with a fan blowing the odor outside. The birds are fine, but i recommend small doses of acrylic if you choose to...
