Hey guys, what's up?
Question I am recently getting ready to paint my apartment.I already moved my birds to my moms house,so paint fumes don't bother my bird.Question is I'm ready to paint my birds room, now I have a cockatoo that loves bitting walls or anything that he can brake.(except bird toys)I want to know is there any paint that I can use to paint my walls that if my bird so happens to brake the wall it wont get them sick due to poison, toxic, and what ever else can make them sick????

And is there any thing you can recommend for molding?like around doors, windows that I can place on the wall so my parrot won't brake my wall but would brake my molding before my wall?my parrots cage is next to a half wall.

Thank a lot
Henry

Acrylic based (water based) paint is the least toxic.....no oil based paints.... I would ask at the store where you are buying the paint, what they would recommend.

For moulding I would use unfinished Pine...he could chew to his hearts content, and it's the same stuff the toys are made of.

You could always buy thin sheets/ peices of lumber unfinished pine to nail to your walls or the corners of the wall that way it can be replaced, and is safe. Decorate andtheme your bird areas. It could be a great home project your bird will love

Hey guys, question would child safe paint be ok?

And thanks or all the replies it gave me some ideas and thought?

Enjoy
Henry

Probably the best (child safe), all paint is potentially toxic.....but we all have painted walls.....so just use the least toxic you can find....I'm sure everything will be ok.
