So I'm considering getting back into canvas painting, and I'm wondering if it's safe to paint with a bird in the house. I know wall paints aren't safe, but what about simple acrylic paint?
Because there are so many different paint bases available in the market today, it is best to take a worst case position. That being: Parrots and Paint do not mix well. That said and unless you are creating huge pieces using gallon splashing, target a well vented room, i.e. household air leaves the house though a window fan (or like method) in the room in which you are painting. Keep your parrots else way in the house and your paint tubes, clean-up chemicals, and brushes locked away when not in use.
