Ozzie is hurt

Today after a walk around the lake and the park, I put Ozzie back into his cage. After I leaved for about 2 min, I heard a big BANG! And then Ozzie screaming! I rushed to him, and saw Ozzie on the bottom on the cage. As soon as he saw me, he ran to me as fast as he can (the cage door was open) and tried cuddle me. I checked him if he was alright, and saw some skin missing around nose, ouch! I also notice Ozzie had hurt his tongue, because he is moving it weirdly.

I went to the avian vet, she checked Ozzie wings, leg, beak, back, etc. She told me Ozzie was alright, and don't need to worry too much. Just that Ozzie would not be very playful for the next few days since he would be very sore.

On the way back, Ozzie fall asleep on my lap in the car, I can see he was a little scared.

Ozzie's diet gonna change for a little while since he bit his tongue, he now gets mostly soft fruit and veggies with a little bit of soaked pellet. No more hard treats for him like nuts this few days.

Poor little Ozzie.

Sorry about the quality, it's not very clear. The red part between the nose is where Ozzie got hurt.

I have saved $800 now, and I'm planning to get a few toys for Ozzie to cheer him up a little this weekend. (of cause, I'm not gonna buy $800 worth of toys! what if i did?....) Hope that would help him to recover faster.

Ozzie is a lot better now! It still hurts, so we had a long cuddle for 1 hour while I watched Rio again and again! So it was kind of like a movie night! And half way through the movie, my dog (cavalier) Lucky came up to us and decided to join and lay next to me. I had Ozzie on my lap first, then he climbed onto Lucky and sat in his fur (on his tail), which was nice and warm. And soon fall asleep. Now he is back in his cage for the night.

My partner and I want a cavalier puppy, have to wait until we can rent a place that allows dogs (plus save all the money....)

Poor Ozzie, I got so sad, I'm so glad he's okay, if he was hurt there can be possibility that I can cry. Hope you get better Ozzie, hopefully you have a great mother who cares for you

Poor Ozzie he is so cute. Kosh my Alexandrine is a big baby and it gets his tail tweeked by either Merlin his mate or one of the little conures he wimpers like a baby bless him you would think he was mortally wound. They are such gentle giants I love them alot less nippy than the little ones

i am so glad to hear he is ok. i immediately thought of losing my Georgie, who was also a perfectly healthy, happy girl and had some 'unknown' accident in her cage while i was out!! thank god he is going to be fine.
