Ive been this way for several years! Billy my Cockatoo, was nine in 2003 so he is around 20 years. Baby, our Senegal, was a year shortly after Billy and is the biggest talker. Rocco our Timneh, was a little over a year in 2006 when he joined us He is the youngest and they are all precious, most of the time!
I am always trying to do better for them. They have been on seeds and people food for years and I think I will try, once again to switch to pellets. I am going to be positive this time and maybe it will work better. I want it to work this time, I believe and yet, I am curious to hear from both sides. I am planning to make my enclosed terrace an aviary where they can play during the day. I want to design a gym for them. Help with both would be great!
In order for you to change to pellets and fresh food you must be consistent and persistent at all times for it to work. I have adopted quite a few that was the same way in their prior homes but I have them all switched over in a very short period. Most of them told me it was not possible and I always prove them wrong.
Hello and welcome! It will be completely worth the work when your fids are eating fresh veggies, fruits and pellets
I would love to see pictures of them!
