hi i am in england.i have a senegal who is so sweet and easy i took it over from someone else.now in the last few months i have taken on a grey.the grey has been sexed and is female,i knew her as i cleaned for her owner to cut a long story short he wasnt good with her and was constantly in and out of hospital leaving her alone the last time after id stopped working for him it was 3 months with just a person going into feed. while i was talking to the neighbour about this the person in the flat above was found deceased so i used this as an excuse to rescue her as there were many flies.she is at my boyfriends house as i live on a boat and her cage is very big. every day now she is allowed out but i only see her a few times a week my fella is getting more confident but when i try to teach her step up she has started to feed me. i walk away and try and ignore it but its always happening she now even grabs my finger and holds me quite hard with her beak.what should i do she is about 5.last time she tried to fly onto me and im scared of doing wrong thing. any advice id bevery greatful

Hi there, and welcome to the forum. :)

Thank you for rescuing this Grey! I'm hopeful someone with AG experience will chime in for you soon. :) Hang in there, ok?

I'm moving this to the African Grey section for you, in hopes some AG guardians will chime in. :)

Hello and Welcome! Thank you for rescuing a needy parrot from a bad situation.

We have a great group of CAG parronts, I know they will be able to answer your questions when they have a chance.
