You might have seen the thread about my name search.
I bought a cage made by K&E, and I need to fill it with birdy furniture and everything else he needs. You can see a picture and measurements at that link.
The place I'm getting my hand-raised Pionus specializes in baby birds, food, and misc. toys; but doesn't have a good stock on cage outfitting. So I'll probably get everything on-line and choose exactly what I want. Any suggestions on good places to shop?
First, I worry that the three bowls are too large. But someone else tells me no problem.
I'm thinking of getting a quarter-circle platform to put in one corner half way up; that will give another place to hang toys from and divide up the vertical space.
I'm thinking of a fairly long rope-coil perch that is connected to the front near the veranda, and at the back wall fairly far down. I want it stiff enough so it doesn't sway; maybe I'll have to use branches instead.
I've heard horror stories about "tents", and will not include one. Instead, I will have something that qualifies as a thicket so he can find a small space if he wants. Say, behind some dangling toys or non-cloth drapings.
Any decorating and shopping suggestions would be appreciated!
