Our new fid Sky

So my wife and I were at petco looking around at the bird toys, and getting some food for Oliver, and as always I had to go in the bird room...(I bet we all know where this is going) and I see this little green cheek conure in the corner of his cage at the bottom just bouncing like crazy and chirping to get my attention. So I pet his head, and he rolls over on his back and squaks till I pet his chest. Then he hops up and lets me pet his head some more, all the while trying to preen my finger. So as I try to pull my finger out of the cage he steps up on my finger so I can not get away, Instant heart melting right there. Home he is going to go with me I decide. I had to wait 2 days before I could bring him home because someone had been asking the store to hold him for a month, and I guess they decided not to come back for him.

So now my wife and I are the proud parents of a 4 month old GCC named Sky

Our petco discontinued it's "bird room" my two cockatiels were the last birds other than budgies that they had now all they have is budgies.

hahahahahahaha, better you than me, because had it been me, he would have coming home with me. Then I would have been looking for someplace else to live when my wife found out I got another bird. I also like the name Sky.
