I Love it! So cute :)

Absolutely adorable! Much better than bunny slippers, I think :D

Did you find those on eBay? I heard the Caique slippers are some of the RAREST ones to find these days.

AND...I think they messed up on your special order, your slippers don't match 100%. BAHAHAHAHHA! :D

You're absolutely right--that photo pretty well sums up my life! This is the standard scene when I'm making their breakfast.

It also brings up the question of whether caiques are really all that smart, or at least if Eliza and Henry are. I mean, you would think that--since they have wings--they would fly up to the counter and help themselves (aka, get in my way). Or perhaps sit on my shoulder as I make my way around the kitchen, get their food bowls together, and then put the bowls in the cages. Either way, they would have breakfast pretty quickly.

Certainly, they'd get their food a lot quicker than by sitting on my slippers. By using this method, they have to wait a lot longer, because I can only shuffle my feet about an inch at a time to get around the kitchen! :D

Of course, if their goal is less about food, and more about being a colossal inconvenience; then yes: they're VERY smart! ;)

Thank you for asking about Henry. He's doing better all the time. On the one to ten scale, I would say he's around 8.5 to 9. Another vet appointment next Tuesday, and we'll see what all the blood tests and such say.

Those are the cutest slippers I've ever seen...

They just thought dad's feet were cold, trying to help :)

It's about being annoying and having the most fun possible!! They are extraordinarily successful!! Ya gotta smile (and sometimes laugh out loud) at pretty much everything they do!!! Who needs television with these nut jobs running around!!

What IS their fascination with footwear ? LOL

Boy, isn't THAT the truth?! I can't tell you how much I love my little dynamic duo. It's pretty clear their standard operating procedure can be described as follows: "We have no idea what you're doing, but we're going to climb all over you and find out because 1) you may be making food, and entertaining the thought of not sharing it with us; or 2) you might possibly be having more fun than we are. Or both."

LOL! Great photo! I have no IDEA what the deal is for them. I have a pair of sandals with velcro straps...when I wear them, it's as if I've put on the most powerful caique magnet on the planet. E&H just go nuts, while I sit there wondering "why am i spending money on bird toys?!"
;)

Funniest part is that in the months we've had multiple Caiques, our African Grey has become a big grey Caique!! She hops around the floor, following them around, she has taken to hair and shirt collar Surfing (not a pretty sight), doing "flybys" at me or the little ones for fun and all kinds of other behaviors that are just hysterical. She went from being a boring, pompous parrot to a fun loving, big chatty grey Caique!!

For mine it's the ends of the shoelaces and ankle socks. None of my laces have tips and every pair of ankle socks I own have holes in them from surfing. LOL

Aww this whole thread is awesome! Such cuties!!
It's really hard for me *not* to bring home a caique.. and this isn't helping!! Hehe.
Maybe after we move in a couple months... :p
