One year ago today, I lost my first bird, Berry, whom I adopted. She was roughly about 8 or 9 years old. Miss you crazy girl.

Oh, the little cedar boxes... I too have a couple, and hope no more for a long time. I'm sorry today is a painful reminder :(. It's nice that you have photos and precious memories.

They say that you are not truly forgotten until the last time your name is spoken. Berry will clearly stay around, forever.

I feel for you, and hope that the pain of her loss will soon fade, leaving only the happy memories of your time together. It is a long and dark road we must travel - part of our penance for giving our hearts to our little ones, but one which we gladly pay, and pay again. Somewhere, there is a special Heaven for those who care so deeply.

Sincere and best wishes to you today on the one year anniversary of losing Berry. Cherish the memories and the joy she brought and she will always be there in your heart.

Berry was beautiful, may her memories always be bright.

I've found memorializing our pets in the form of those cedar boxes is a way to channel our grief and focus on their wonderful memories.

Berry was a beautiful girl. She must have had an extraordinary life with you to be so lovingly remembered. For such small beings, they leave us with a huge emptiness after their passing. My thoughts are with you.

sorry you have to go through this . You are not alone. May the memory of berry shine bright.

Berry was so beautiful. Anniversaries like this are so hard, you're in my thoughts.

So sorry. Thinking of you on this difficult day. Berry was a beautiful little girl.
