So far so good when we first inherited him after the loss of the Mother in Law he was a bit of a biter but we've persevered and over the weekend he stopped biting and now his a lot better, when i open his cage he hops up onto me hand and climbs up to my shoulder, he loves his fruit and veg which is a good thing. I fed him some blackberries earlier which after eating what he wanted, he decided that throwing them at the wall was much more fun !!! one unimpressed other half lol
But he's a good boy really

Thank you for the update about gorgeous Gino.

I read in your first thread that you have a terrier. May I please ask you to exercise all caution with Gino and your dog, keep them completely separate if at all possible! One of our forum members only this week almost lost her precious Quaker because of a dog and I would not like something tragic to happen to your Gino! It only takes a split second for something terrible to happen and you’d never forgive yourself.

Sorry to be a bit of a downer on my first post to you but I’ve heard way too many awful stories about dogs and birds to not at least warn you.

Like LaManuka said, dogs, cats and birds don't mix! Little conures make a perfect snack! Not only that, the infections from "just a little scratch" can be deadly! GCCs have a tendency to imagine themselves invulnerable therefore making great targets!

Now that the hash stuff is over, congratulations!!! GCCs are totally fun birds! They make great pets and love attention.
They're highly adaptable to change including schedule changes. But know GCC's are smart and have memories that last a loonng time thus they're very trainable. But you probably already know this!
