- Sunday/gold capped hybrid conures: mystic and gypsy
Sun: Paisley
Every single time it seems I make some progress, it seems that the next day that progress plus some is gone. I don't know why. My routine: I take them out of the cage, they play for some time either on the cage or playstand near me. I put them up about 2, go get my boy from school, maybe run errands. Come back get them back out around 4. Take them to the other room and try some taming for around 30 minutes. Then return them to their cage. For several days I see some progress then, one day they'll just be more frightened and running away or snapping at me. I know two is harder than one but I didn't realize it was sooooo sloooow. It seems they feed off each other. If one is scared they're both scared. I feel like gypsy would be lots better by now if mystic didn't still act like I'm a bird marauder. I don't know how to get through. I'm not out of patience, I've still got plenty, but I'm discouraged that having two will make them never cuddle, or even really be people birds. :/ I know its only been 2 weeks, but I the regressing is what is worrying me. They are sweeter one day, and bitey and frightful the next.
