One sad thief!

I ordered a Christmas gift off of Amazon and have been awaiting its arrival for several days. Finally, I checked the tracking, and it was supposed to have arrived on Monday! Turns out, someone has been stealing boxes off porches in my neighborhood. :58: Is it naughty of me to feel amused by the fact that we are going to have one sad thief when he opens up that box only to find a large yellow gravelled nail trimming perch and a colorful wooden bridge for stringing across your bird's cage? Unless this thief is also a parront, he is going to have a hard time finding a use for these gifts! Ah, the irony. :16:

Thankfully Amazon is resending my order, so Lucille will still get her gifts!

That is a terrible but growing problem during the holidays. For now, the loss rate and cost of sending a replacement is manageable for the sellers, intent on balancing convenience with cost.

Aw no Mitch! You were the victim of a "porch pirate"! This is happening all over. I wanted to do a little online ordering, but was advised against it (especially during the holiday season) because of this type of activity going on. I'm sorry it happened to you, but I also can't help being amused at the surprise I'm sure they got when they opened it! I hope they weren't a parront lol! I'm glad Amazon is taking care of it.
