I'm not too excited about the bird in a dog cage, lol. I'll look around for you and try to find a breeder in Indiana. Good for you on not buying from a pet store. Nobody likes those places anyway. One thing you can maybe do is make a deposit for the bird if you find one you really like, then save money to buy a proper bird cage, lol, toys, etc.

ty so much for trying to help me find a breeder.

You might try the websites (Hoobly) and (Ebay Classifieds) under birds, you can search local listings that way, also for cages you can search (Craigs List) for good deals on used cages
another big ty for telling me were to look i would have never thaught of ebay classifieds u may have just found my bird for me :blue2::09:

All three of my fids came to me through Ebay Classifieds, (not to be confused with the Ebay auction site) the Galahs from a local breeder and my Macaw from a private party that could no longer care for him........

Here, I found a good place, it's a super bird store in Indianopolis: Bird Fever is one of the Midwest's leading exotic bird and supply store. | Bird Fever Indianapolis Indiana. I recommend wing clipping, easier for you and safer for the bird.

o man good find but man thats a 3hr drive just to get thier my dad would tell me to start walking lmao.:p only if they had the prices on thier im rlly interested in that bcc if i can get a hold of the guy and mabe see if i cant take it down a little more to like 450$ instead of 475$ so i can get some stuff for him lol. hmmm guess i can sell my xbox 360 for another 100$ cause i dought 75$ will cut the coast for food a few bird perches a few toys and some bouls. is thier any thing else im missing?

lol, our parents are so unreasonable sometimes. :p talk to the breeder first, make a few visits before you buy, that way you can see what the BCC are like and if they're your type of bird. Are they on a pellet diet? Are the used to different fruits and vegetables? If you do buy your bird, you might want to get it a vet check-up just to make sure it's a very healthy bird, and get his wings clipped there (the vet will show you how so you can do it) and vet prices are a lot. You'll need a lot of toys for conures since they are very nippy and heavy chewers. They'll take toys and bring them down to splinters in a day or two. You can also always make your own toys. Then you need to start saving money for your bird cage, lol. It's a lot of money and work in the beginning.

meh yea i guess al have to miss out on this one hopefully another will come up cause iv only got 550$ to spend and the bird is 475$ mabe if i sell my xbox360 al have about 640$ and al prolly get rid of my eel to the fish store prolly get some credit like 20$ on the low end. or i can wait a few months and save about 1k up and then buy a bird hopefully one comes up then ehh? i dunno its such a tuff decision cause i no most places breed in the spring and early summer so if i wait al have to wait another year prolly right?

Why don't you talk to this breeder, ask him if you can make a deposit for a BCC. That way he'll hold on to it after you paid for it, then you can save up your money to buy supplies, you'll need at least $200-$300 to cover all supplies. As for a cage, go to maybe Petco, the do sell some decent cages for less than $100. Then when you have your supplies, take the bird home if the breeder will hold on to it for you.

yea but if u r talking 300$ for all the supplies that will be 2months from now, and i want one from when they are just weaned because i dont want a bird that throws them aditudes and wont let u hold them and bites u when u stick your hand in the cage,im just weid about buying animals that arnt babies(newborns). i guess thats because if the breeder dont give them any attenchine they only loose out on a few months instead of half a yr. if u get what i mean.

lol, our parents are so unreasonable sometimes. :p

It's the opposite in my house - My kids tell me to stop bringing things home :)
Not sure if someone has already mentioned it and i missed it. Just be careful with the material on the dog cage. There are some metals that are highly toxic to birds including welding metals.
