Omg he did it!!!

Kiwi is talking!! Before he would only say pretty bird if his cage was covered and he thought no one was listening. Tonight, his cage was covered all except for the front and I was sitting on the floor in front of him and suddenly the most beautiful words I could ever hope to hear came to me. He said, "Pretty Bird", pretty pretty, pretty birdie, and momma! I am in tears! I've never been so happy. I was so shocked at first I almost didnt believe it but then he said it again. He was just talking up a storm! I couldnt believe he was so eager to talk to me. He just kept on and kept on and I started crying. I cant wait to hear more of what he's learned!

Sounds like he will be a good talker like Rowdy. Keep talking to him all the time and you may be pleasantly surprised like I have been.

When I uncovered him this morning he looked up at me and said pretty pretty again. I started laughing because from what I saw in the mirror there was nothing pretty about my appearance!! LOL. I'm sure he was talkin about himself though hehehe. I am so thrilled. I'm hoping now that Loui will learn from him and then I'll have 2 little talkers. I'm so proud of Kiwi it was hard to fight the urge to pick him up and squeeze him hahaha.
