Hi, I know I just wrote a thread, but this I just need to know, for health reasons. Whenever my mom sits near Oliver, or stands to clean up his cage, he throws up. What does this mean? He only does this when my mom is around. I don't know if it's health related, should I take him to the vet? Is this mating behavior? Please help. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure it's mating though...

judging by the fact that he only does it when your mom is around, its probably a mating behavior. A vet check would be a good idea though. Make sure your mom doesn't pet him down the back. Also when he throws up, just ignore it and walk away. if your holding him, out him in his cage or on a t stand. just dont leave him out unsupervised. good luck :)

Check inside his cage first thing in a morning to make sure there isn't any vomit from over night when your mom hasn't been around. If there is some there then he may be sick.
If he is only doing it around your Mom I would say he is trying to feed her. Its an "I love you" thing, he has bonded with her and is acting like a mate. It's what birds do when they are courting. That is nothing to worry about.

If in doubt a visit to the vet won't hurt.

I'll be checking as soon as morning comes for any type of vomit. If I see any, I'm pretty sure it's off to the vet. And if you haven't noticed, I tend to overrreact and ask a ton of questions. :p:09:

I reckon he has the hots for you mom LoL
When birds regurgitate, it's a sign of love (how I will never understand)
Just keep a close eye on his dropping as well
If you feel something is still not right, go to the vet, rather be safe than sorry.

Any changes at all today, has he stopped throwing up yet?

Gosh can you imagine if the human race was able to show it's love like a bird....... Need I say more.

He seem s perfectly fine, droppings seem fine, the only difference is HE'S IN LOVE!
If the human race did this, yes, the world would be a wierd place. But my mom came over today (she sees me often) Oliver looked like he was going to, but then he just gave kisses lolol :)
