What do we do, We were told Bella our cockatoo was a female but have just found out she is a he, DNA test. Bella is under a year old but knows her, I mean his name. Do we change it? If he was several years old I would not event think of it, but is he still young enough for a name change?

If YOU want you could change it. But why? I can guarantee that Bella doesn't know that "Bella" is a girls name.

Though if you do change it Fella' would be pretty easy :)

Bella ????? Fella' ??????
As long as he gets lots of love, shares his life with people who love him unconditionally.
As AD mentioned, would he know the difference.
Take care

lol, i really dont think bella minds. haha at least you have a good funny story to tell people.

Now you have me wondering ..... LoL
Is Mishka a he or a she ????
We have always taken her for a female.
Today started out normal ....... THEN this strange voice erupted WoW
She was talking in a deep deep tone, it was so crazy.
All the words she said were sounding like a male's voice.
I have two teenager sons, they do not interact with Mishka much. They are always on the run.
On and off throughout the day she rattles on and on in these different tones.
I think she thinks she is an opera singer. When she sings the first line of Baa Baa Black Sheep she sounds like Pavarotti.
No matter what, she will always be my baby.
Take care
