Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
..... BB was on my shoulder and I dropped my tea cup on my desk (luckily it was empty) and it freaked the little boy out and he took off from my shoulder zooming in the room and crashing into the wall next to the door way!

Now I understand what poor Juliet goes through with her 'Nut.
This is the second time he has gotten scared and took off. He can FLY if he wants now, just doesn't DO IT very well...sighhhh..

Like every healthy toddler, how they make it to adulthood it beyond me!

Thats like my Loco, sneezes and random noises like if I accidentally hit my arm into a tough plastic (bag of nutriberries) he takes off like a crazy bird. When birds get startled they TAKE OFF! Luckily he never crashes. I dont even know how he makes some of the manuevers he does.
Im glad nothing bad happened, hopefullt next tjme hell remember that wall is there and fly a different direction.

He has had his flying clothes on for some time now and his usual attempt at going anywhere has been short distances, not very high or far, usually running/hopping/flapflapflap to get to me.
Recently however,he has become more adventurous ( Hey? what are these things on my arm? flapflapflap.. LOOK AT ME!! I CAN ZOOM AROUND!!!)

Yesterday and tonight were the very first time though that he got any height or distance and couldn't control where he was going  The poor little guy..
Amy was prolly thinking..."see? that's why I don't fly! hurts,doesn't it?? ;)"

Ya it's very scary ain't it! :34:

Don't worry, 'Nut was an absolute DISASTER when he first started flying. It was very scary to watch. Rascal NEVER had this problem but I guess some birds are more clumsy flyrs if they never had a chance to fledge. It is night a day now... 'Nut's flying now is AMAZING! I'm so proud of him... the improvement he has made is ENORMOUS! I'm VERY comfortable with his flying abilities now... UNLESS Rascal spooks him... but thanks to Rascal being clipped it's no longer an issue :D

... don't worry he will improve much faster than you think... awesome to hear the little guy can fly now :D
