- DYH Amazon-Rescue- Bosley (36),
African Brown head-Rescue- August(9)
Well Bosley's hormones are at an all time high now.
This is his first year with me, so it's a learning experience.
Up until now it hasn't been too bad, mostly just the mating dance.
This past weekend though he decided to try a flying attack at hubby.
It was a fly by, just grazing the top of his head, but it happened about 4 times over the weekend.
So I have been making sure he is getting his sleep, I know to cut back on mushy warm fatty foods. I really don't want to clip his wings if I don't have too. Right now we are taking a cautionary approach and if I need to go out of the room I am either taking Bosley with me or putting him in his cage till I return. Bosley doesn't seem to mind this suprisingly. Any other ideas welcome.
I know this is why he was surrendered to the rescue the last time.
Will this go away again after the hormonal surges?
I will clip his wings if I have to, but he really is enjoying flying and it would be sad to do so.
