Eastern Rosella
Hello everyone, me again :)...
Today, my Rosella "man" who gets lots of fresh food daily, and in addition to the cereal mix, also gets the big bar as dessert. I think he got very excited, ate a large amount in a short time and when I had to change his water, it was as if he was "protecting" the dessert and started flying.
My family tells me I overeat and should cut back.

What do you think? Is it possible that he liked the food so much that he "aggressively" wants to "defend" it? Otherwise, I took stick out of the cage, I mean, I expected parrot to be full, because he eats during all day, but I got the impression that he would eat it all..

Ogy, literraly, "lost himself" eating the stick-bar.. He consumes 1/3 the size in 30 min.
Regards,

What do you mean by cereal and "big bar"?

Is the big bar a treat stick? Birds can get defensive over it, I mean, if someone gave you some sweets and they suddenly try to take it away, you'd be angry, wouldn't you?

:) :):) ... Yes, you are absolutely right. ..In fact, he was like that and before my intention to temporarily remove that cutie. Apparently it looked too big and tasty for him too, to stay in the cage until he ate it all. It turned out that my parrot acted intuitively and predictably :)

Those are MY cheesy poofs!

Or Snickers bar.

I pretended to nibble at my Quaker’s dried fruit, clutched in his foot, and he squawked in anger. I may have gotten a pinch, too.
