Off to the vet today

Fingers crossed everything checks out okay and that Oliver behaves himself and doesn't embarrass his momma by screaming his little head off in the waiting room. Lol

LoL....mines shy around strangers at first but then yap non stop. Hope everything checks out for Oliver!!!

Good luck!!! Bean always says, "What are you doing?" over and over and over, when we are at the vet. It makes people want to talk to him, and usually he gets really excited and starts singing opera, and not very well.

I bet it will be fine. A good socialization exercise. I wish I had done more when merlin was young. But he was a clown @ the vet last week. Entertained all the help & visitors. When they couldn't get a dog to go to the exam room, he started saying commere,commere & whistling.

Lol... He was quiet as can be only a few soft little noises that were kind of cute. The vet and tech liked him a lot because he likes to snuggle and didnt try to bite them after they did all those mean things to him.

The vet is concerned because like I suspected he's under weight. When I told her about the screaming and the food that was stuck to his feathers when we got him, she said it could be possible he wasnt weaned properly as a baby and he's screaming because he still wants formula. Sorry Oliver your going to eat you veggies and fruit and sprouts and like it, which he seems to eats everything right on up. Although I think I'm over feeding him just a bit, I can't help myself he acts so hungry. She said the fact he is thin could be due to a bacterial infection or a virus and they'll know more in a few days when the test results come back. In the mean time we have to weigh him twice a day and feel to make sure he's not getting thiner or losing any muscle mass as best as we can. I wish they could give you results the same day I hate the waiting and not knowing.

She also instructed me to get him used to being handled in a towel or wrapped in a towel any suggestions on how to make this a fun kind of game from him?
