I thought I seen it all, but now
my Zone has become quite ...ehhh Loveable.

She sits on my shoulder and presses right up to me
just starring at me and talking softly.

Then she'll grab my face with her foot to turn it towards her and practically trying to crawl into my mouth. (LOL)

She grabs my bottom lip, gently and sucks on it all the while
Making a chirping noise with wings out slightly, almost like
a baby bird being fed.

This is every few moments while on my shoulder last 3 days.

Is this a mating stance of an amazon? Trying to figure out what
her extra ordinary loving is all about here?
My wife is saying..." She wants to have your babies" LOL...
uh yea...ok.

That would be mating behavior, yes. :p

My Sydney used to do it for me every morning when I first got him, I guess he thought he had to win me over! He doesn't do it any more, so I guess he knows he's got me for life. XD

I thought so. Took her over by the Mirrors and said, " Ohh look, there's Poppie in the mirror. Me Human, You Parrot. No Mating, won't happen,
got that?."

Though it dose make me wonder, do Amazons actually try and Kiss as mates in the wild? I know they groom each other, Poppie Grooms Greyson,
My Grey, and the guy just sucks it up and enjoys the grooming.

You gotta love parrots!:cool::cool:

" She wants to have your babies"

Bahahaha!!!!!!!!!! :32:

Ha ha ha haaaaaa.....She's 9 now and her hormones now kicking in?
Ohh dear. She recently laid an egg a few months back. I was a bit stunned.:D

I know if I took her over to the Avian store, ( they have a few Amazons there) and her buddy Zeus, is a permanent resident there, and boy do they get a chatting to one another.

Do you realize she's dating you???? Definitely mating behavior. Buddy does that to me but when he grabs my face with his foot, that's the cut off, the next step is sharing food and I really don't want any regurgitated food, lol.

My Amazon pair groom each other and cuddle together, and they also sit beak-to-beak pretty often, it's what made me fall in love with them!

Should I buy some flowers? ( LOL)

I figured she was in the hormonal stage suddenly. She's shooing everyone away that gets close to me, she has to keep an eye on me at all times or she starts screaming.

Once she sees me, and is close enough she begins by saying, " up up, Love youuuuuuuuuu" and just makes eyes with me constantly. Never bites, but sure has taken chunks out of just about everyone else.

No one really likes to get anywhere near poppie. She's tricky, with me I have no problem. Don't share food out of my mouth. But she sure is determined and stubborn at times.
