i love you nut, her reply....bass...steeed

my man was rollin over laughin when he heard, i was it's not funny!! or clever! later on h hear him teaching her to say bugger!!!! grrrr MEN!!!!

aw, its cute she tries to say i love you.... such a shame about this new word! but congrats on her talking i suppose? ^^

OMG, thats bad! lol I can't even think of a payback for that one. Maybe invite the grandchild over & let Nut teach her new word. If he is laughing when she says it, I think it will stick. Take heart, most people can't understand when a parrot speaks.

Congrats on nuts first word/s so cute
I agree be extremely careful what is said in the presence of a bird.
Mishka picks up words so quicky, I am only aware of some of them when videoing him.

Hahaha I'm not sure if that is terrible or awesome... Congrats on the word anyway.

I am always yelling at my hubby to not say certain words around River, my luck the same thing would happen and it would be the only thing he learns to say! Congrats on speech, but baaaaad hubby! lol

At least that word isn't profanity...technically.

Trust me...it could be much, much worse.

Gandalf used to go on tirades whenever I was on the phone. F-in this, F-in that. He once called my Mom a "F-in B" when she walked away from him. He was an absolute cad. God, he was awesome.

gandalf sounds awsome!!! bless him

well hubs has been thourghly told off, an luckily nut's only said the B word a few times and rather worryingly in context, so i think she thinks it means no! my son keeps trying to get her to repeat, but it's hard when i am like any older person who is stone deaf untill a profanity is whispered

I know that you're not supposed to teach your birds profanity, but this is hilarious. =P

I can be a bit of a potty mouth myself, so I have to watch what I say in front of Ruby. She's started saying "you suck" which is one of the more G-rated phrases I say. My husband is threatening to teach her a particular vulgar, sexist phrase that I'm positive she'll pick up immediately. I'm hoping he leaves it at teasing only and doesn't say it in front of her.
