HAHA! That's great :D. Way to go Auggie!!!

If I were a pirate, I certainly wouldn't want to tangle with a macaw :) Auggie looks to be doing a fine job soaking up the sun, erm, I mean defending the inlet lol. I must say, he's an absolutely gorgeous bird. Is he a scarlet or some kind of hybrid? Either way, he looks very happy, well loved and healthy! It's a nice thing to see for a change. Macaws are a little too much bird for me to want to bring one home personally, but most of the ones I have seen have, sadly, been pluckers from homes they were hugely misunderstood in. It's so nice to see a well loved, healthy macaw enjoying himself!

Auggie is not a hybrid , he is a Greenwing Macaw. He is
very gentle and loving. He loves having is picture taken by and with strangers.

Yes, the cannon was discovered in 1987. It's from the Spanish ship San Miguel De Archangle which sunk off the Jupiter Inlet in 1659 on its return voyage to Spain. Still to this day gold and silver coins are still being found, some even on the beach by people with metal detectors. Within a short distance to the inlet there might be as many as 15 Spanish ship wrecks.

GREAT picture, Willist! Auggie is oh so very handsome. :D And thank you for explaining about the cannon, that is awesome history right there.

Love that pic of Auggie. I love green wings & he is such a beautiful boy! He is so lucky to have such a gorgeous setting to enjoy.
