Parrots
Sprite the cinnamon green cheek conure.
I know this really experienced bird guy..He used to breed birds and at the moment hes just got 1 'zon. I was talking to him a few weeks ago and he said that parrots can be really moody. One day they will want to be cuddled, one day they will be playful, and one day they just want nothing to do with you. The vet that I saw a couple of days ago also said that in spring especially birds get very moody because it is breeding season. Today Sprite's acting kinda weird, the door to his cage is pretty much always open when we are home, and he was out all morning, but now hes just been sleeping in his happy hut for like...an hour. He doesn't usually do this. Normal?

I would keep an eye on him & if he doesn't buck up he could be showing the first sign of illness. Hope not.

Just like 15 mins after I posted this he came out and he has been out since acting totally normal :D

Glad he is acting normal now! He was probably just taking a nap.

Yup hes great now! :D
But I do have one question. The day after I posted this he did it again in exactly the same way. Both of those days it was rainy and a bit dark out. Could this be why??

He was taking a nap, Maxx takes a couple a day. Nothing to worry about.
