Nike's been with us a year now

Hi All,

I adopted Nike last year on December 20th. She has been a great bird and while not as cuddly as a baby she's been a good companion and is part of our family.

Here's a couple of pics I took the other day, nothing special.

I love Hawkheads... they remind me of the dinosaurs with the spreading head-frills!

That's a compliment, as I admire their dino-heritage. Also, they make me think of the fabulous little Frilled Lizards with similar "hair"!

She just took a bath in her bowl. Halfway through it I brought her to the shower and soaked her. She decided she hadn't had enough and spent another few minutes in her water bowl.

great looking bird I have been wanting to learn more about them. they are on my short list for later in the year along with Red Bellied, and Great Billed depending what I can find in my area. Nike is just beautiful
