Nike a Hawk Head Parrot (Deroptyus accipitrinus)
Nike has been out with us 3 or 4 times this year and is still an excellent camper.

Last week I had to go to a 4 day shooting match in Vermont and my wife wasn't home so I had no choice but to bring her with me. I camped right on the range so there were gunshots going off all day long.

Surprisingly she never flinched (except a time or two when someone was shooting a large caliber supersonic round). I purposely watched her while we were sitting outside and nothing...my dog is the same way, it doesn't phase him.

A few evenings I had her in her travel cage out with me socializing and it was funny and interesting to watch people come up to her and watch her reaction. She was fine with most folks but she hated my best buddy. If he came near she would raise her feathers and lunge at him. He has a soft spoken voice and sat next to her and talked to her to no avail, she just hates him ;)

She has to come with me this week as well to Maine, a bit of a PITA but better than leaving her home.

What length ranges did you shoot? Side arms or long barrel stuff.

It's great that Nike handles that so very well. Julio is just as unfazed by noise. Nothing better than together time! Julio loves a road trip, the longer the better.

Thats awesome I live in vermont. Which range were you shouting out?

Looks like fun. I don’t know if Bumble would handle the noise, but I love taking her along when I can. I think it’s fantastic that Nike goes so many places with you.
