But Im still worried, are there any signs I need to look out for with albie?

Basically next doors kitchen caught fire, they weren't home so we rang 999 emergency services who arrived quickly, rescued the dog and put the fire out.

The fire department came to test our home for carbon monoxide and said we are clear but I'm now parinoid for albie's sake.

Having been in a house fire, thats is some scary stuff. If you still smell burning then I would hesitate to stay there until the fumes dissipate.

I don't smell anything, it was only a small thankfully, I think I'm being paranoid

Wow. I'm glad you are fine.
In Florida a few years ago a big fire in the swap has a smoke hazy and choking smell hanging over our neighborhood. We all did fine.
So I think you guys will be

Too close a call, glad you are all safe! I'd imagine your home is safe once detectable odors have dissipated and you thoroughly air-out before returning.
