Newest Bird Owned Human from NJ

Hello all:
Though I am not new to birds, I am new here. I always had an obsession with birds, and my mom said, "When you get your own place you can have as many birds as you want" so I currently have 4 keets, and a lovie. There is something about birds that makes my heart happy. If I could figure out a way to own a penguin, I am sure I would have one of those as well.

and your air conditioning bill would be extremely high.

LOL, yeah....and even though African penguins are warm weathered birds, I was told, "You can't have just one, you have to have 6." That ended my quest for a pet penguin.

There's also that whole migration thing... they're quirky.

These are not pets. Unfortunately, with the way things are going and climate change, we are losing them at an alarming rate.

Thank you...The Lovie wants nothing to do with the keets, but that was a pic I took week 2 of having her. She likes to watch them, but not hang out.
