35 year old Red Lored Amazon
Hello I have had the pleasure of being gifted a Red Lored Amazon that has some medical issues (tumor in abdomen and a developed club foot as a result)
I work for an avian vet and surgery is not really an option as the likely hood of him surviving is very low.

So my questions are as follows:

With his disability what would be a good cage set up as he cannot balance well. I have him in his original cage which is 20 x 20 x like 30 ish He has 2 wooden dowel perches a natural wooden perch and a flexi rope perch. There is also a ladder that spans most of his cage.

I have his water at the top of the ladder where it is easily accessible and his food is at the bottom of the ladder. the ladder is at a slight 30ish degree angle.

He spends most of his time at the top of the ladder. he doesn't use any of the other perches except the rope one as i put it around his food dish..

are there any good recommendations on cage setup for a bird with this condition??

Also any toys you can think of as he doesn't play with many as he cant grab stuff like a normal parrot.
