HI! I'm Xena and I'm new to the group and to birds (sort of) I've had canary and finches as a kid, and my mum had a Rosella. A few months ago I got an Indian Ringneck who I've named Captain! :green2: He's isn't tame properly but loves to sqwauk for attention. He's on his own at the moment so I'm currently looking for abother bird to go next to him in a separate cage. My hobbies include training my horse and Captain, listening to music, reading and art.

Hello, and welcome! There's a lot of support and information here that will apply to all the dynamics you mention. I'm glad you found us.

Welcome! Lots of great information here :)

Welcome and be welcomed. Gettung a second parrot, to keep the first one company is not a good reason to do it. They may love each other, or hate and fight each other, no way to tell in advance. Your first parrot may decide that he wold rather hang with the other bird abd not this 2 legged, wingless that changes its water and food . If your parrot gets a couple hours on attention from you, and has plenty of toys to destroy in his cage, he will be fine. Try to do it every day, becasue ring necks are notorious for going back to un-tamed, wild bird state if they dont get regular human attention. Be patient and consistent. Good luck.

We welcome you and Captain! We’re happy to have you here, enjoy your stay!
